Item Description...

The original art was inspired by the following bible verse...

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoeverbelieveth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

The following describes the meaning for 12 of the hidden images. Now all you have to do is find them!!

1. The Great Invitation is that we can come to God because of Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the cross.

2. O.T. Prophets looked forward to the coming of Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

3. The Tabernacle used by Moses and the children of Israel in the wilderness is a beautiful picture of Christ.

4. The shedding of blood on O.T. altars of sacrifice was God'srequirement to be forgiven of sin.

5. An innocent lamb was slain as a sacrifice for the sins of the people.

6. The manger placed on the altar represents that Christ became the Lamb of God and was slain for our sin.

7. The Via Dola Rosa, was the road Christ walked on His way to the Cross.

8. The Empty Cross, the symbol of the once and for all sacrifice of Jesus. His death completely paid the penalty of our sin once for all.

9. The empty tomb assures us that He is risen! Death has been conquered and through Him we will have "everlasting" life.

10. The dove represents the new life we have in Jesus and the filling of Holy Spirit.

11. The Apostle John, looks back to that pivotal moment in history when God became man and provided the way of salvation. He also points us forward to Christ's return.

12. The New Heaven and the New Earth stretches our imagination to catch a glimpse of the glorious future in store for the faithful believers.

About the Artist - Jack Dawson
Jack E. Dawson was born in 1950 and became interested in art at a very early age. By the age of 20 he had produced several significant works including a 30-foot statue entitled, The Praying Hands, which is located in his hometown of Webb City, Missouri. Jack has used many media over the years including watercolor, oil, acrylic and sculpture. Jack is currently serving as a Sunday School teacher and deacon at the church he attends, and combining his artistic ability with his desire to teach. Jack's career in art has spanned over 30 years and his principal purpose has been to spread the message of Jesus Christ through his work.

Jack and his wife Nancy launched Bittersweet Gallery over 20 years ago. In 1999 Jack began painting what is now known as "The Seek and Find Series." They felt that these works should not stay "tucked away" in his studio. With the help of their children, they began marketing his prints to stores and through this website. The sale of Jack's artwork has grown and is now available in gift shops and retail stores across the country.
